Free SEO Tools

Most of us already know about the big SEO tools such as Google analytics, SEOmoz, and W3C Validator, but there are some really great free SEO tools that are just as helpful.

Give my website an SEO test

The most well known SEO testing tool on the internet is Website Grader, however instead I would strongly recommend Woorank. This tool will not only give users a better idea of what areas of SEO need improving, but also give a better idea of what will help improve that websites postion in Google SERPs. www.woorank.com

Check my backlinks

As most SEO experts know backlinks are crucial to a websites success in Google. To check your backlinks as well as your competitions, then there is no better tool than 'Link Diagnosis'. The only draw back is that you need to use Firefox, however seeing as Firefox is one of the best browsers I don't see this as much of an issue. This tool will not only show you all domains linking to yours but also place them in order of Page Rank and link value. www.linkdiagnosis.com

Where does my stand in Google

This is a common question and there are two great ways to check. The first is by downloading a tool from Cuterank. This tool is the best way as it will allow you to check your websites progression for certain keywords on multiple search engines. The second way is to visit a 'ventio', which will allow you to check your websites position in a number of countries without downloading any tools.

Optimising my content for Google

As every SEO expert knows content is so important for great SEO. There is a common rule that content should be written for visitors and not for search engines, however this is not entirley true, you infact should do both! Google reads the sentances and judges the readabiltiy ease and grade by calculating a formual that involves words with syllables etc.
